I have been toying around with the idea of creating a family blog for a while now. Some of you may know I used to have a personal blog that I loved. I enjoyed using it as a way to document life as a new mom when Jack was first born. But, like most things it fell by the wayside. I cannot tell you how many times I love going back and re reading the updates about Jack and all of the neat changes he went through his first 6 months of life. I realized very quickly that it was something that I missed doing for Andrew and now Annabelle.
I also know I am super terrible about organizing our memories. My mother in law was the QUEEN of scrapbooking and has gifted Chad a lifetime full of incredible scrapbooks that to this day he loves looking through. As much as I wish I could do this for our family and for our kids I know it is definitely not my gift. I don’t have the patience nor the talent to create this physical archive. But! I thought to myself– I can do it online!
So that is what I dream of this blog being. I want to archive not just our vacations, holidays and picture perfect moments. I want to document our life. I want to create a place where I can look back and see how I have grown as a mom, my kids have changed and how our family as a whole has changed.
I think this is going to be exciting. Who knows– maybe I’ll even go crazy and dust off the ol DSLR and start vlogging on here as well. One step at a time Aubree– ones step at a time.
